Football NT (FNT) would like to extend an invitation to Darwin junior footballers aged 11 and under, 13 and under and 15 and under to form a FNT Futsal team to nominate for the upcoming 2020 Futsal Junior Wet season competition. Please note all competition structures for the coming season will follow the Government restrictions as applied in an effort to manage the COVID-19 pandemic.
* FNT Futsal will be a fast and fun game and will be played at the Territory Netball Stadium, 235 Abala Road Marrara
* Futsal fees are charged as a one-off team fee plus your individual player registration fee
*For our first season, there will be three age groups offered: 11s and Under, 13s and Under and 15s and Under.
All teams will be required to submit a nomination via the nomination form below, by COB Wednesday 28 October.
Late entries for competitions that are not full may be accepted.

Futsal is indoor football. It is very fast, energetic and a lot of fun. Futsal demands fitness and quick thinking from the players.
Proposed earliest kick off time is 5:15 PM and latest kick off time is 8:15 PM. But the final start times will depend on the number of teams and players that apply for the 2020 Junior Wet Season Futsal competition.
This is like all wet season football where the focus is on team registrations. However, while we accept full team registrations we do accept individual player registrations and will do our best to find a suitable team for the individuals who do not have a team. A maximum of 5 players on the court and 5 substitutes. So, 10 in a team is best.
Players can be interchanged at will during the match. It is called rolling substitutions. The game does not stop for a change in players. It is run on and run off.
Yes, each team should have a coach and a team manager. A team manager/coach will be the person FNT will be liaising with for any communications about the 2020 FNT Junior Wet Season Futsal competition. The team manager/coach will also be responsible for team registrations and all payments.
Players need to wear Indoor Futsal Shoes or Runners. The soles of the shoes must be made from rubber or some type of plastic. The soles of the shoes MUST NOT be black coloured as they leave marks on the timber floor.
Yes, for the 2020 Junior Wet Season Futsal competition, the players can wear their dry season club kits. Please note however, that all teams MUST NOT have black coloured jerseys/tops as that colour will be only used by the FNT Futsal Match Officials.
Yes. For the 2020 Junior Wet Season Futsal competition, FNT will provide referees. However, on those rare occasions where a referee is delayed or cannot make it for whatever reason a representative from each team must referee a half each.
Futsal competitions are much shorter than outdoors football. For the trial 2020 Junior Wet Season Futsal competition, the competition will run for 7 weeks including Finals.
For the 2020 Junior Wet Season Futsal competition which is our trial season the FNT Technical Director and interstate Technical Directors have asked for the halves for each age group to be as outlined below:
For 2020 Junior Wet Season Futsal competition, teams are not graded. It’s an open competition for the age group specified above.
